Humans crave being in nature, even a view of trees from a hospital window will heal a patient faster, not to mention they will feel happier.
Trees produce oxygen that we need to breathe, they absorb carbon dioxide that helps fight climate change. Trees produce jobs, timber, firewood, paper and provide a habitat for wildlife. They prevent droughts and fires, soil erosions and landslides. Trees boost soil fertility, cool you down with shade and buffer noise.
For me, as I have written before, I am oddly obsessed with trees. It’s why I walk every morning……Happy Sunday, Gretta
