Holiday Kindness Through The Hustle And Bustle

Holiday Kindness Through The Hustle And Bustle

Create a holiday that is focused on positive energy…..focus more on honoring the spirit of the holidays and the people you share them with, than over-consuming and stress related items. Holiday Kindness Through The Hustle And Bustle is about creating some new traditions that can be shared with friends and family…creating great memories, serving others in need and at the same time feeling blessed with the gift of giving.

My sisters, Susan and Sharon picked up ten winter coats at a thrift store, they put them in the trunk of their cars, ready to pull over and donate them to the homeless people they pass in certain areas of their community.

My friend Julia put together lunch bags with sandwiches and chips and a water bottle in each and handed them out where men stand and wait for someone to hire them for a day’s work….. she said they were so appreciative and thanked her profusely.

A simple compliment or smile will go along way to someone who needs it…… generous with both and you’ll get it back tenfold…..Gretta

New York City, Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center…..

Growing up on Long Island, I loved driving into the big Apple and viewing the magnificence that Rockefeller Center would offer every December…….I have never missed it so much as this year… I believe it’s because I started painting a lot of city scenes, I was working from photos since, well Im in Los Angeles. I fell in love with the city just from getting into the feeling and the pulse of the beautiful architecture, I could practically smell the chestnuts roasting on a crowded corner, yellow cabs racing by, such a magical place…
