Are You A Prisoner To Your Own Mental Minutia?…
The thought process we create in our heads, brings out the reality in our lives. Are You A Prisoner To Your Own Mental Minutia?… Have you created a lifestyle that has you emotionally bound in relationships? It creeps up on us…..we cater to others, we people please and put everyone else first. And then…..we realize we are stuck….painted into a corner of our own demise.
Sometimes it can feel hopeless and you feel like no matter what happens you can’t untangle the web you slowly wove, how do you suddenly start to draw the line in the sand? How do you out of thin air make demands from relationships that no longer serve anybody involved?
How do you hit that stop button to pause and restart to a higher plateau?
It has to start with rethinking how you think. Not believing everything you think, and getting to know and trust yourself.
Often we develop feelings of guilt about putting ourselves first, but theres no shame in it, in fact its imperative to our mental health.
Let go the notion that your happiness is second to others, and by putting others first, is what makes us a good parent, sister daughter friend etc. Setting boundaries is of mega importance to achieve healthy, happy relationships.
Wherever you feel stuck in your life, the culprit will always be yourself. Your self limiting thoughts are creating your prison and your belief in those thoughts is the warden keeping you there. Gretta
“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
